June 2017 Newsletter

Hello family and friends!

Woop woop…summer is here! I hope all of you are enjoying the sun, fun and the longer days, I know I am! Plus, it’s winery season, so you know I’m all about that, lol! I ended up getting quite a few gigs added on in May after I sent you guys your last email. I don’t want to bombard your inbox with updates, so feel free to check out my website throughout the month for any additions to my schedule, http://www.AngelRhodesMusic.com or https://www.facebook.com/AngelRhodesMusic.

A few months back, Deja Blu 5 got to jam out for the first time on 44 News In the Morning with Tommy Mason. I promised the link for you guys, and I was able to track it down!!! Please take a moment to check out our cover of “The Weight” by The Band!  http://44news.wevv.com/inside-community-deja-blu-5/. I was so proud of us, I think we killed it!!

While were are on the topic of TV performances, I’m super excited that I will be back on WEHT’s Local Lifestyles with Ange Humphrey on June 8th! I’m thinking of performing my original song, Bump in the Road. What do you guys think? Feel free to respond with your ideas, but it has to be an original. The actual show goes on 11, but my segment is typically towards the end of the show. Be sure to set your DVRs and/or watch it live! I’ll be sure to give you guys the link on my next monthly email 🙂

I let you guys know last month that I’ve started giving beginner vocal and guitar lessons. I’m happy to say that I have 2 students now and they are doing awesome!! I guess I’m such a kid at heart, I do well instructing kids, lol! I can still take a few more students for the summer, so if you have anyone that is looking for lessons, please have them email me at angelrhodes47714@gmail.com or call at 812-480-1300.

I have one last request for you guys. I’m a huge fan of the entertainment magazine, News 4U and they have been so supportive of my career. Every year, they choose 20 people that are under the age of 40 to feature in their magazine. The people that are nominated are individuals that play a part in our community via music, entertainment, volunteer work, beverage, sports, art, and business. I’ve been working to be on this list ever since I went solo in 2014, so please take a few minutes to vote for me! Of course, there are many other individuals that deserve to be on this list as well, so please vote for them too! All you need to do is go to www.news4u.me/20-40-and-under/ put the nominee’s name, and why should they be nominated.

  1. Howdy! I understand this is somewhat off-topic however I
needed to ask. Does managing a well-established website such as yours take a massive amount work?
I am completely new to blogging but I do write in my journal every day.

I’d like to start a blog so I can share my experience
and views online. Please let me know if you have any ideas or tips for brand new aspiring
    blog owners. Appreciate it!

    1. Hello!

To answer your question, yes it does take some work, but not an enormous amount. However, I only post a blog once a month, but the actual website does takes a bit of effort! I still consider myself a novice at blogging, but the best advice I can give you is to post like you’re writing to a friend. People enjoy reading blogs that make them feel like they know the author 🙂
I hope this helps, and I wish you the best of luck. Let me know if you have any other questions!

      Angel
