I apologize that I’m a little late on this blog. These last few weeks have been nuts to say the least! I’m sure most of you have viewed Deja Blu 5’s awesome television debut on WEHT Lifestyles on Feb. 17th. We worked up an acoustic version of our original song, “Lost Lovers” especially for this show, so you won’t want to miss it!
We were blessed to also be featured on FOX 44News This Morning on February 24th! We rocked out “The Weight” by The Band, and even managed to pull off some nice harmonies early in the morning, lol! I don’t have a link for this one yet, but I’ll be receiving it soon and will likely be able to share on the next email. My friend, Gretchin Irons got an awesome live video showing behind the scenes footage of the taping and all of the shenangians of course! I’m happy to say that my fan base is really picking up in southern Illinois. After this last month at Walker’s Bluff and Trail’s End Lodge, I have already solidified weekends in April, June and July! If you’re planning on visiting some wine trails out that way, be sure to let me know. I’ll give you the scoop on the best spots!
I’m also humbled, excited, and exhilarated to say that I received my very first standing ovation last weekend at Sara’s Harmony Way in New Harmony, IN. Deja Blu 5 has received them before, but this time, it was just little ol’ me. Although this was just a few fleeting moments, it has renewed my drive and I’m still coasting on it’s shine! Not to mention, Sara’s Harmony Way is a GORGEOUS spot. Not only is it a coffee shop, it’s a little bar too that is just bursting with charm. Be sure to go and visit them the next time you are in the area. You won’t be disappointed!! I’ll be back there on June 24th, so that would be a good time to stop by…just saying, ha!
