Hello everybody!
I’m writing you guys with the window open, listening to the rain and snuggling with my puppers! I hope all of you are having a good day so far. I’m getting excited for open mic night tonight. I hope to see some of my fellow musicians out!
I swear, it was an out of body experience to hear my song “Phoenix” played over the big speakers at the Ford Center while one of my best friends walked out for her fight! Not to mention, she won the fight like the bad a#% she is! I laughed, I cried, I screamed like a crazy person and then I’m pretty sure I cried again. I did get a video of her walking out. (Lol, see what I did there!?) I”m thankful every day for my circle…it may be small, but it’s mighty! Hmmmmm, that could be a song…anyway!
Speaking of “Phoenix”, I’m happy to say that we have finished up the recording for the new EP! I now leave it in the capable hands of Steve Tyner with Black Cat Recording. I can’t wait to hear the final product and if “Phoenix” is any indication of what’s to come…I’m a very happy girl! This first EP will include “Is It Me?”, “Self Sabatoge”, and of course “Phoenix”. I’ll let you guys know as soon as I’m able to release it!!
This month is going to be absolutely insane for me! I have a ton of gigs all over, so please come out and support when you can. I’m definitely busting my butt…this wedding isn’t going to pay for itself! lol!! This week alone I have 6 gigs in 4 days, so I’ll be in a musical coma on Sunday!!
